An industrial infrared temperature monitoring system with self-contained, miniature digital sensing heads that can operate independently via RS-485 Modbus and interface directly to a PLC, or for use with its optional PSC-PM180 Interface Module for sensor configuration, display and data logging.
The PSC-PMB System Sensors are ideal for precise measurement of food, paper, thick plastics, asphalt, paint, bulk materials and organic materials. They operate equally well on surfaces contaminated with dirt, rust or oily substances. Value priced, they are designed specifically to monitor the surface temperatures of non-reflective materials from -20°C to 1000°C (-4°F to 1832°F).
PSC-PMB System Sensors boast a response time of 125ms and accuracy of ±1% of readings. They can be configured directly via RS-485 Modbus or with the optional PSC-PM180 interface module. Very compact and designed to conform to the most demanding installation conditions, the PSC-PMB sensors are constructed of 316 grade stainless steel and can operate at temperatures up to 120°C without a cooling apparatus.
The Model PSC-PM180 Interface Module permits the connection of up to six sensors and allows feature configuration, display and data logging, and alarm indication from each sensor, either simultaneously or individually. Furnished with a bright backlit touch screen interface, it features high capacity data logging capability to a MicroSD card, analog and relay outputs via optional ICP DAS modules, and two-channel scrolling temperature charts. Extremely versatile, the interface module operates as either a Modbus master or Modbus slave.
To monitor more than six locations, PSC-PMB and PSC-PM180 sub-networks can easily connect to a RS-485 Modbus SCADA system or PLC, making it possible to measure the temperature of multiple locations, all on the same network and at a cost efficient price.
