The Sirius 1-color Series sensors are small, compact and easy-to-install with digital and analog outputs. Shorter wavelengths make them an excellent choice for measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals above 50°C. Temperature range from 50°C to 2500°C.
The Sirius line of pyrometers was developed to meet the growing demand for small, compact and easy-to-install sensors with first-class optical and electronic characteristics from 50°C to 2500°C. Sirius pyrometers provide digital/analog outputs and operate at shorter wavelengths where the emissivity of un-oxidized metal surfaces is higher. Therefore, they are an excellent choice for measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals above 50°C. Other applications that can benefit from the installtion of a Sirius sensor include:
These pyrometers offer adjustable focus optics and are exceptionally robust due to the fact that the self contained IR sensor has no mechanical moving parts, and because the lens, detector and electronics are contained in a stainless steel IP65 housing. By utilizing digital signal processing, the Sirius line exceeds standard analog pyrometers in precision and repeatability.
Optical Alignment: Aiming of the pyrometer on the measured object is facilitated by a precise laser spot, which indicates the center of the target area. The optical axis is aligned with the mechanical axis of the sensor housing. The laser can be switched on via a laser button on the interconnecting cable by a remote contact or from the PSC Win software.
