FAQs

Can your pyrometers measure silicon carbide (SiC) ingot growth temperatures?

Yes. The PSC-M311/M322 series reaches 3300°C, covering the full range of SiC crystal growth processes - typically 2000°C-2500°C for PVT growth. The 2-color capability is particularly valuable for SiC because the emissivity of the SiC surface changes as the crystal grows and surface morphology evolves. 2-color ratio pyrometry compensates automatically, giving a stable temperature reading throughout the growth cycle without recalibration.
