The BBS1500i-40 is a highly stable calibration source which provides automatic calibration. It is ideally used for the calibration of short wavelength pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras between 50 and 1500°C. The large aperture size allows for easy alignment between the blackbody and the device under test.
The BBS 1500i-40 is an adjustable temperature blackbody source with a wide temperature range of 50 to 1500°C (122 to 2732°F) and a 40 mm (1.57”) aperture. It is capable of precise calibration of pyrometers/thermal imaging cameras with spot sizes up to 24 mm. The BBS 1500i-40 outperforms other blackbodies on the market within fast heat up times: 1450°C in 40 minutes. With its cylindrical cavity for providing uniform temperature radiation and simultaneous display of set point and actual temperature values, the BBS1500i-40 is a reliable and easy to read blackbody source.
The BBS1500i-40 is unique in that it can generate calibration certificates for PSC infrared sensors under test using the new SensorCal3, PSC software. It combines the features of a precisely controlled temperature source with the calibration and adjustment tasks. The BBS1500i-40 communicates with connected pyrometers and transmits and receives measurement data for manual or fully automatic tasks.
This premium blackbody calibration source is calibrated using a Process Sensors Diadem ultra-high accuracy transfer standard pyrometer. Once calibrated, the blackbody is used to calibrate PSC Metis, Sirius and Capella infrared sensing models. A PC is connected to the BBS1500i-40 and a pyrometer undergoing calibration. The SensorCal3 PC software can then generate a calibration certificate.
Auxiliary connections:
- Interface for communication via PC with software
- Pyrometer analog output for analog calibration
The PSC-BBS120-TE is well suited for the calibration and verification of non-contact infrared thermometers, thermal imaging cameras, FPA (focal plane arrays), and spectrometers. Optional USB interface with software enables the control of the blackbody via a PC. Temperature ranges begin with a low of -15°C to a max of 120°C.
Various Blackbodies with a large uniform extended area emitter plate used for thermal imaging camera calibration and focal point array detectors (FPA). Comes in a variety of emitter sizes and temperature ranges (-30 to 150ºC).
The BBS1150 is perfect for mid to high temperature applications. User selectable temperature set points within 200° to 1150°C (BBS1150). Simply adjust the set point on the precision digital PID controller to any temperature within the specified temperature range and the BlackBody should stabilize and begin reading.
The PSC EX series of black body source offer a range of temperatures in a 12" x 12" black body calibration source. Ambient temperature ranges starting from to 230ºC and ending at 500°C.
The BBS1050 and BBS1200 Compact Blackbody Sources offer high accuracy in up to 1" aperture in a compact form factor. Designed for compact mid to high temperature applications (50 to 1200°C), making them ideal for smaller systems.
