Process Sensors Corporation® is well-known as a leader in the near infrared moisture measurement industry, but the company is just as well-known for its applications in the frac sand industry.
“Frac sand,” a durable type of small-particle sand that is used in hydraulic fracturing, is a big business. In fact, it has its very own industry conference for the entire continent. And our long-time employee, Marty Peters of Technical Services, was recently selected as a featured speaker at the North American Frac Sand Exhibition & Conference 2020, Feb. 27–28 in Houston, Texas.
The conference brought together frac sand buyers, sellers, service companies and industry leaders to highlight the market forecast and trends, as well as new innovations and much more insight. As stated on its website, “The objective of The North American Frac Sand Conference 2020 will be to bring the frac sand supply chain industry together to evaluate solutions for overcoming the current market and logistical challenges of supplying frac sand to well sites.”
Marty’s presentation did just that. He presented a slide show, which we have shared here, on Best Practices for Using Near Infrared Instrumentation for the Frac Sand Industry. The presentation highlighted the best way to utilize NIR in order to improve processes and for quality control to save companies time and money. Marty took the stage on Day 1 of the conference, Feb. 27 at 11:30 a.m.
If you have a frac sand or other similar bulk solids or powder application that may benefit from NIR instrumentation, please fill out the contact form below and one of our experts will reach out to you to discuss your inquiry!
