Two piece and 1-color digital model PSC-SSS-Laser Series offers high resolution optics, dual lasers for aiming, fast response speed, on board back lit temperature display, and a large choice of wavelengths for a variety of industrial, medical, and scientific applications. Offered in temperature ranges from -40 to 2200°C
The two-piece digital model PSC-SSS-Laser Series offers high resolution optics, dual lasers for aiming, fast response speed, on board back lit temperature display, alarms, multiple analog (4-20mA) and digital outputs, including J & K thermocouples. A large choice of wavelengths makes this the ideal IR sensor series for a variety of industrial, medical, and scientific applications.
The PSC-SSS-Laser series’ sensing heads are constructed from rugged stainless steel and offer a choice of high-resolution fixed focus optics providing for small target sizes from 0.020” (0.5mm) in diameter. The bright red dual lasers pinpoint the spot at the focus distance as the laser beams converge to form a single spot on the target. At distances other than the focal length, individual laser spots delineate the measured target size diameter, allowing the operator to see the spot size under observation as the two lasers spread apart.
The high accuracy infrared temperature sensor can operate in ambient temperatures up to 185°F (85°C) without the need for cooling; operate over a wide power range from 5-28VDC, and offer fast speed of response. The stainless steel housing with companion heavy duty cooling jacket with air purge, stands up to the most severe industrial environments.
The wide choice of spectral responses and temperature ranges from -50 to 1800°C are intended for applications such as induction heating, metal processing, semiconductors, paper, plastics, webs, ovens, furnaces, glass, ceramics, thermoforming, food, powders, liquids, hot material /aggregate on conveyors etc. Measurement parameters such as emissivity can be set manually on the IR sensor, or via PSC Connect software with optional USB connector. The software also facilitates the set-up of peak, valley and averaging functions, graphic display of temperature trends, and data logging with a 1ms response time.
